Honoring PFC Spence A McNeil

We are humbled to announce that on June 1 & 2, 2019,
Flags for Fallen Military – South Carolina will be Honoring the
Memory of PFC Spence A. McNeil with his family.
McNeil was assigned to B Battery 3-43rd Air Defense Artillery, Ft. Bliss, Texas, as a petroleum supply specialist. He was at Fort Bliss only two weeks before being deployed to Saudi Arabia in September.
PFC McNeil died on March 8, 2003, near Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
He died from injuries sustained when the vehicle he was in rolled over, and he was thrown out of it.
Spence was a member of the Junior ROTC class and played on the football team at Marlboro County High School. He won the Class 4A regional wrestling championship in the
145-pound weight division and Anderson College had offered him a full scholarship to wrestle.
He graduated from Marlboro County High School in May 2002 and joined the Army a month later.

at 09:30 hrs for the installation of the flag base,
leaving for the family’s home at 10:00 hrs.
Sunday
2 June, 2019
Meet at Walmart
1040 Chesterfield Hwy, Cheraw SC 29520
at 13:30 hrs (1:30) for the dedication of the flag pole and flag,
leaving for the families home at 14:00 hrs (2:00).
